The DMC Cyclone seals were filling with magnetite causing excessive wear and pressure on the seal. The seals were replaced approximately every 3 – 6 months.

A new product seal deflector was designed and installed by HIC Services.

After the installation of the newly designed product seal, the downtime to change out the seal was reduced to a 6hr task, and the seal was still in good condition after a 12-month life cycle of the DMC Cyclone.

The cost of the newly designed seals showed a cost benefit compared to the old seals.
